Silvia's Bakery in Enfield CT, Old-World Freshly Baked Bread

Silvia's Restaurant is famous for her home-baked bread.  Unlike most bakeries, Silvia uses only 100% natural ingredients, NO Preservatives! This limits shelf life and has prevented people outside the Enfield CT from enjoying Silvia's bread.  No more, no longer do you have to settle for unhealthy and tasteless substitutes.  You can have real bread, baked the way your grandmother used to bake, delivered to your home.  We will be or already bake:

  • Babka Bread, Regular or Raisin
  • Challah Bread
  • Pumpernickel Bread
  • Jewish Rye Bread, with or without caraway seeds
  • Italian and French Bread
  • Regional European Bread, Rugbrød, Roggenmischbrot, Schwarzbrot
  • Romanian Farmer's Bread

Strudels, Pastries, Pies, etc.

As American as Apple Pie.  This saying used to be a compliment, but the American Apple Pie has been replaced by something only vaguely resembling a real pie.  Too much sugar or no sugar at all ( replaced by high-frucose corn syrup or possible carcinogenic artificial sweeteners ), frozen or canned fruit that turn to mush when baked, trans-fats in the crust; you don't want to know what goes into the pies you buy at the supermarket.

Not at Silvia's!  We use only natural ingredients.  Pure cane sugar.  Fresh fruit.  No preservatives or trans-fats.  Your grandmother will be impressed.

Organic or Regular.  Vegetarian friendly.

For those of you who want 100% organic, most baked goods have that option.  It is not possible to meet Old World or traditional baking standards without using real butter, milk and eggs but we do not use lard or meat in any product on this website.

Silvia's plans to ship the baked goods in this online store to you overnight or if you are within New England/New York via ground delivery.  Freshness matters so we do not recommend shipping via ground if that is going to result in more than 1 day of shipping.  Of course you are welcome to pick up an order at Silvia's Restaurant in Enfield CT.  Silvia's sells premium baked goods and the price will be more than you would pay for cheap and tasteless at a supermarket.
